Mediating eCommerce, Property and Workplace Disputes Online

This on-line course is designed for accredited mediators who wish to understand how technology can be used successfully for Dispute Resolution. Participants will earn a training Certificate for Online mediation approved by the International Council for Online Dispute Resolution (ICODR). This 20-hour course was recorded and includes all training materials. This course qualifies as the required 20-hour online mediation course required for Mediate.com Online Certification. Six (6) months access to Online Training material also available to Participants.

GOAL

Train Certified Mediators to use online tools to support parties ethically and effectively in Mediation conducted online.

LEARNING OBJECTIVES

Upon fulfillment of this course, the Mediators will:
Understand the origin, history, development and relevance of Online Dispute Resolution (ODR);

Understand the key ODR practitioner skills and difference between face-face and online mediation;

Exhibit the ability to use and manage interactions on ODR platforms synchronous/asynchronous chat based, audio, video communications whilst managing party expectations and encouraging participation;

Identify and manage party concerns in respect of privacy, security, data protection issues and the ongoing quality of ODR;

Conduct mediation online.
